Day 14&15 Calgary to Granum

Ok Sunday first.  Woke up way too early. Didn't even sleep in that long.
This was supper provided saterday night. Then Sunday morning breakfast was provided as well.

Larry was giddy about all the baked goods provided by ruben's family. I have to say I was too. I think my plat gives that away.
I think everyone enjoyed the meal.
The sky is finally starting to turn on us. We've had two weeks of clear skies and sunshine.
Church was right next door and the group add colour to the service.

Lunch was also provided after the service. Yummy tacos. I think we should just do laps around Calgary for the rest of the tour.
Pizza arrived for supper and it looks like a bunch of seagulls in a parking lot at mc Donald's when someone drops a fry.
This week we load the gear truck. The day was starting out quite wet.
Through the rain we rode. On bike paths and construction zones
Rolling hills aand small creeks is the order of the day.

Lots of stops today. Lots of bright clothing.

After cycling through the rain we finally made it to lunch. We were all soaked to the bone. Not only did they supply towels to dry off with and hot coffee. But they also had hot bowls of soup with buns and treats. I talked to the lady in charge and she told me she wasn't thinking it was a good idea yesterday when she and the others were making soup in the sweltering hot weather. On the way to lunch we had a bit of hail too.  So we were cold. I was all in Gods plan.
After lunch the sun started peaking through and it was drying up.

The scenery it changing but it's still beautiful.

It's not everyday you see a house drive down the road.
The shoulder was wide and cleaner then this morning.
Another stop was a good time to ditch the rain gear. I tried to keep people positive after a long rainy morning.
We stopped at the local candy store to smoke a liquorice cigar. The had Dutch drop too.

Passed the airplane museum.

If you look close I got all these cows to pose for my picture.
Another stop. We had baked goods from Rubens family again   Very tasty.
Looking to our right it was time to out the peadal to the metal
Last stop before camp. Spirits are still high.

Getting all jacked up on coffee.

On the home stretch with a posey on our tail. After a 164 km with an average speed of 29.4 km we made it into camp. A long hard day. Everyone made it. The local church provided supper. It was great.

After supper we celebrated a birthday.

Now that's a cake on fire. Fun. See you later.
