Day 11 golden to lake Louise.

Well we had an hour time change yesterday. Everyone was up early and raring to go.
I have to say that yesterday, with all the climbing I may have overdone it a bit. With and average speed of over 24 km an hour that's pretty quick.

My knee was killing me this morning so I took a Tylenol   If you know anything about me that's a big deal.  Camp is just below on this pic.  So that tells you a little about how this day went.  It was all climbing.  Not great for conserving my knee.

One thing about climbing all day. You have great veiws and a long time to see them.

The long up hills were the order of the day

Riding along the edge of the road allowed us to see allot of the things the motorist couldn't see.

Carrie had first and forth stop today. Fun to have her on the ride today.

Looking back at  the rest stop we climbed a long bridge over the old road.

Train tracks a river and the old road.

Carving our way through the mountains.

What s great view from a bike.

The snow capped mountains are all around us.

A train heading through the mountains

The next rest stop.

Some great glacier fed rivers. Not hard to ride in. These surroundings. The more I see the more this place screams creator.

Ian stuck his park pass on his mirror.

Getting close to the border.

I was temped to go for a swim. But it was cold.

Just another stop with a bunch of hungry cyclists.

Looks like that's where the water comes from.

Stopped at the spiral tunnels to see if a train would come by.

Ian is posing with his twin.

Feeling small

Last stop. Before a nice decent into lake Louise

Here's a panoramic of  a lake just before carries stop.

Lake Louise is just above here.

We made it.
