Boozing in Blanco

Just kidding, we left bethel CRC In Shiprock and headed  to a winery in blanco. This is the new route that was made to avoid the fires in Colorado. We're heading east towards a winery called wines of the San Juan. This route follows the San Juan river out of Shiprock. Kind of crazy coming out of the desert and seeing how a river can bring life to the ground.
On one side of the road is lush green , trees, and the river. The other side is desert. From higher up its like a green belt.
It was a relatively short ride today.  Only 55 miles or 90 km. we went through the town of Farmington. The roads were pretty tight today. So there were a few close calls with vehicles. But other than one person ditching there bike to avoid a old man pulling a u turn, everyone is ok. She's ok too , hardly a scratch, a little shook up and some minor bike repairs needed. Along the way I saw a sign I just had to take a pic of.
The one is obvious but check out the lower one on the right.
Camp is awesome because there is shade, green grass, and a spectacular view. So they gave us a tour of the winery. Yes I had to take some samples, I mean I didn't want offend. Well the problem with tasting is that it was really good.
So unofficially we might have had some wine. If we did it was for purely medicinal purposes. Time for bed. If you've seen the movie "up" then I'll tell you Kevin is here and I hope one of us makes it till morning. See you tommorow  Len
