Kansas to Nebraska

Well it was a long day. It's 10pm and time for bed. But I'm going to write my blog. The day started with a beautiful sunrise.
Over looking the lake at prairie dog park. The time I took this pic I was ready to go. Up at 530 and packed up lunched up and breakfasted up 600 ready to roll. The rest of the team took a little longer. With a 100 mile or 160 km day everyone was a little anxious to get going. With the high winds and talk of the wind shifting, leaving early was a panic priority. Well away we went and the wind was very calm.  Something we haven't experienced since we left the mountains.
Rolling hills and trees seem to be the order of the day. Every downhill had a nice climb after it.
The first stop was at a reformed church. They treated us to a bunch of home baked goodies. It was great.
After the stop we were in a big group of people. The shoulders were clean and wide it was good
The next stop was a museum. No time to go in we were on a mission.
This was a house that was empty and falling apart like a lot of places around. From school house to farm houses it seems like there's a lot of empty places.
Saw this sign had to show u this. That's what I call creativity.
Here's a town we passed through. Not sure what you'd call some one who comes from there. What about two people. A couple of atholes. Mmmmm
The road seemed to go on forever. Nice but a long road. Our next stop was at jiffy burger for ice team.  Most people stopped but I cruised past and got some pics of some great old tractors.
This one came as an LP tractor from the factory in the 50s. Cool. LP is propane for  those of you none farmers.
Here's an old ford.
We got passed by A tractor. Rather embarrassing.
We came right by the centre of the USA. How exciting. Well not really for me but I'm sure Someone thinks it is.
After lots of miles we made it to Nebraska. Goodbye windy Kansas.  Now were headed for a great state. Not five miles later here's our view.
That can't be rain can it. We almost there though.
As Harold got closer we starred to realize we were in for it. In to town we came and about a mile out we got poured on. Hail was smacking off my helmet.
After the rain stopped we went for a quick shower and a swim. Harry and hennys trailer got hit in a parking lot so after supper I straighten it out and got it working as best as I could. Nothing a hammer 2x6,and duct tape can't fix. After that the brake lights on One of the trucks was staying on so I fixed that too. Back in he pool to cool off. Now to set up my tent and see how wet my stuff is. The sheets dried fast but the blankets are still outside drying. Hopefully their dry by the morning. Well it's almost 11 and there's some local kids driving around saying wake up.  Funny. Small town stuff. Alright gotta go to sleep now. 77 miles tommorow. See you later. Len. No bounds pic. Sorry
